The kingdom aims to increase its electricity generation capacity from 83 gigawatts (GW) in 2023 to 110 GW by 2028, supported by a $293 billion investment in both conventional power and renewable energy projects. While Swedish Energy Agency predicted that solar power generation would take up 5% to 10% of total electricity demands, the current data is 0.4%, much far from the goals.
